At Pirkanmaan Osuuskauppa cooperative, we constantly work to promote local well-being, sustainable consumption, climate, the environment and equality together with the POK employees, co-op members and partners. Our sustainability comes from meaningful big and small actions in our daily lives, one action at a time.

    • Together we will make a better place to live

      Our sustainability work as a co-operative is guided by S Group’s sustainability programme and our values.  Our sustainability programme consists of three themes: promoting sustainable consumption together with our co-op members, promoting sustainable growth while respecting natural resources and taking steps towards an equal world – by removing inequality. 

    • Sustainable consumption

      Favour seasonal produce, reduce waste, support domestic products. We help our customers embrace a more sustainable everyday life through measures such as eating in a way that is smart for the wallet, health and the environment, sustainable consumption and less emissions from cars. 

    • Climate and natural resources

      Reducing our own emissions, make use of waste heat and co-operate with the entire chain. We know the climate and environmental impacts of our own operations and the products we sell, and work together with our partners to reduce them. 

    • An equal world

      A diverse work community, towards a sustainable supply chain. We take responsibility for people and work to ensure that our own and our partners’ employees are treated fairly, both at our locations and elsewhere in the world.
